Android has expanded its presence in the rugged computing market, while Microsoft hopes to regain ground with Windows 10.

The Android operating system has taken the lion’s share of the consumer phone and tablet market, but the rugged and embedded mobile device world has traditionally been dominated by Microsoft. That may be about to change as more enterprise companies deploy Android-based devices and Microsoft rolls out Windows 10.
