Publisher/Editor-In-Chief Sarah Nicastro talks one-on-one with Jason Cocco of Restaurant Technologies, Inc. about how to master M2M.
Restaurant Technologies, Inc. (RTI) provides complete oil management solutions to more than 20,000 foodservice locations in 41 metropolitan markets across the United States. RTI provides services to restaurant chains like KFC, McDonald’s, Applebee’s, and others, including delivery of fresh oil and disposal of waste oil, all equipment and services, and an oil management software platform that helps restaurant managers improve oil usage and efficiency through simple-to-understand data analytics.
To streamline the delivery and retrieval of oil from its customers, RTI deployed an M2M (machineto- machine)-based remote monitoring system. The investment has paid off by way of increased visibility, reduced service visits, and better inventory and asset management. Jason Cocco, VP of business and product development, led this project for RTI. He learned a lot about M2M along the way and here shares his experience, along with a few tips that’ll help you with your M2M initiative.
