Xplore XSLATE D10 Rugged Tablets Selected for Flexibility, Financial Savings and Increased Mobility

Xplore Technologies Corp. manufacturer of the world’s broadest range of high-quality rugged tablet computers, announced recently it has secured a multi-million dollar order for its Xplore XSLATE D10 Android-based rugged tablet computers from a leading global transportation company. The order for the fully-rugged XSLATE D10 tablets is to help the transportation company achieve cost savings and increase mobility in its rail yards.

The global transportation company selected the XSLATE D10 for the flexibility and ease of use of the Android operating system, 10.1 inch sunlight display, connectivity options, its fully-rugged IP65 rating, and extended battery life – all useful features for efficient operations in a railroad yard or in the middle of nowhere on the road. In addition to the XSLATE D10 tablets, the railroad ordered the tablet’s docking solution and optional secondary battery.

The Xplore XSLATE D10, powered by the Intel x86 Atom-series core processor, features a slim, lightweight design, runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating systems and is certified MIL-STD-810G. As the most full featured rugged Android tablet on the market, the XSLATE D10 comes standard with two full-sized USB 3.0 ports, RJ-45 gigabit Ethernet, HDMI-input, as well as 4G LTE and Wi-Fi with Bluetooth 4.0.
