WEROCK Rugged Tablets: Now With Extended Range Scanner For Long Distances

The new optional, integrated scanning option of the Rocktab Ultra series enables ranges of up to 25 meters and facilitates the capture of barcodes in demanding logistics environments.

WEROCK Technologies GmbH, manufacturer of rugged tablets, mobile data collection devices and industrial computers, is expanding the Rocktab Ultra series with an additional integrated barcode scanner option. This means that the rugged industrial tablets in the Rocktab Ultra series can now be equipped with an extended range scan engine that enables scanning ranges of up to 25 meters – without the need for an additional external scanner.

The new option is ideal for companies in demanding logistics environments that are looking for a versatile device for all tasks. The extended range ensures efficient processes, especially when scanning barcodes on high warehouse shelves or at hall doors, while the absence of a separate device simplifies handling and increases employee mobility.

Specially developed for industrial use, the integrated scan engine combines close-range and long-range scanning in one module and therefore covers scenarios with medium scanning volumes. It is particularly suitable for tasks such as stocktaking, documenting goods movements or capturing barcodes in areas that are difficult to access.

The Rocktab Ultra series offers a robust and powerful overall package for daily use in logistics: Intel processors, bright multi-touch displays up to 11.6 inches and hot-swap batteries enable uninterrupted work, even over several shifts. 4G LTE is available as an option. With accessories such as vehicle docking stations or mounting options for forklift trucks, the devices can be flexibly integrated into existing working environments.
