Wavetrend Signs Distribution Agreement with Tech Data
Fairfax, Va. — September 10, 2007 — Wavetrend, a world leader in the deployment of Active RFID solutions, today announced a partnership with Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ GS:TECD), a leading distributor of IT products.
Under the terms of the agreement, Tech Data will have distribution rights to Wavetrend's portfolio of Active RFID products in the United States, its territories and possessions, Mexico, and Canada. The distribution agreement will help Wavetrend meet the increasing demand for its Active RFID products within this territory.
"With this agreement, Accredited Channel Partners will now be able to source Wavetrend Active RFID products from a world-class distributor with six distribution centers across the U.S.," said Saleem Miyan, Wavetrend's Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Marketing and Professional Services. The partnership will leverage Wavetrend's more than 2,500 worldwide customer installations and Tech Data's network of reseller customers, and will offer Wavetrend the opportunity to expand into new markets and new application areas. Wavetrend's Accredited Channel Partners will realize benefits from increased product availability, competitive pricing, and contract standardization, as well as through Wavetrend and Tech Data joint marketing initiatives.
