Executive Outlook: Want To Automate Your Field Service? Don't Discount SaaS

According to a recent analyst report, the top three reasons against adopting field service automation technology were the initial cost of the solution, the high cost of maintaining the solution, and insufficient IT resources to support deployment of the solution. In recent discussions with clients and prospects, I've noticed a fourth trend: divisions of large companies who want to utilize specialized field service software, but are being told by corporate that they need to settle for the company-standard ERP (enterprise resource planning) system. Those reservations are valid, especially in this cost-conscious economy. Fortunately, there is a solution.
