Voxware Announces Support For LXE's MX7CS Handheld Computer For Cold Storage Applications

HAMILTON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Voxware, Inc. (NASDAQ: VOXW), a leading supplier of software for voice-driven warehousing operations today announced their commitment to support the MX7CS. The MX7CS is LXE's new wireless rugged handheld computer built specifically for the cold storage market and is the industry's lightest and most ergonomic handheld computer for cold chain applications. The MX7CS is part of LXE's comprehensive line of mobile computers for cold chain logistics that support real-time voice / speech recognition, data communications and bar code scanning.

"The addition of the MX7CS to our supported product line validates Voxware's leadership position in the marketplace as the industry continues to shift towards non-proprietary technologies," said Scott Yetter, CEO, Voxware. "It demonstrates the market's appetite and need for open, standards-based voice recognition devices. LXE understands the challenges that cold storage environments pose for warehouse workers, devices and wireless networks, and their cold storage computing products fully support Voxware's role as a leading provider of voice systems for cold storage logistics operations."

"The recent introduction of the MX7CS allows us to offer the most robust line of rugged computers for the cold storage market," said Bill Roeder, Senior Vice President & General Manager of LXE. "Cold storage environments introduce unique problems for data collection computers and LXE is now the best company to address them for the market. And Voxware has played an integral role in helping us develop a family of voice-enabled, open-system, non-proprietary devices, including the MX7CS."

The MX7CS offers the widest variety of scanners and imagers of any product in its class and it meets the challenges posed by cold storage environments. The device is equipped with special heaters to prevent fogging and frosting on the display and scanner windows. Military grade conformal coating is applied to all internal device components to prevent damage from condensation.

The new MX7CS utilizes an 802.11b/g WLAN radio. It supports Bluetooth® technology with LXE's EZ Pairing protocol which allows operators to connect their device to Bluetooth-enabled printers and scanners in seconds. As with all of LXE's computers, the MX7CS is "born rugged, not made rugged™," and built with LXE's ToughTalk™ technology for speech-based logistics applications.
