Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Launches New Real-Time Fleet Telematics Tool, Connect Pro

• Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles introduces Connect Pro telematics system to help keep fleets running efficiently and minimise vehicle downtime
• Over-the-Air updates allow fleet managers to optimise fleets in real time
• The platform provides live vehicle data, as well as vehicle health management and an ability to make online appointments with a Volkswagen Van Centre

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has launched an enhanced telematics system, Connect Pro, to support fleet managers to optimise their fleets in real time.

Designed to optimise the functionality of the fleet, reduce costs, and minimise risks, Connect Pro enables real-time visibility for fleet managers.

Key features of the new telematics platform include live vehicle location, route history, average fuel consumption, state of charge, as well as vehicle maintenance demands and warning messages, and online appointment booking with the customer’s Preferred Service Partner for a simplified, integrated approach.

Available to fleets of any size, the customisable digital platform allows greater operational control, reducing the need to visit a Van Centre, thereby minimising driver downtime, as well as delivering Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates on the vehicles.

The new telematics system is available to connect on all Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles models from 2021, to support the management of mixed vehicle fleets through a single, streamlined system.
