What Is Virtual Service Infrastructure?
ILS Technology Virtual Service Infrastructure™ (VSI) is connectivity software for service organizations that provides secure remote device monitoring and management. VSI increases security, improves service response times, and contributes to regulatory compliance. These benefits reduce costs for both the service organization and the enterprise customer.
VSI is a next generation technology that replaces legacy technologies such as dial-up, leased lines, VPN’s, and agent based systems. VSI is a secure transport between the service provider and the enterprise customer without the expense and labor intensive overhead associated with legacy technologies.
For the purposes of this brief, “Service Provider” refers to a services organization that are performing remote-based managed services into an enterprise’s protected network which can include both outsourced managed services vendors as well as enterprise-owned support resources that may be located remotely to the devices being supported.
