UCB Pharma, Inc. Selects Dendrite's Latest Sales Channel Management Solution

Dendrite International, Inc. (NASDAQ: DRTE) today announced that UCB Pharma, Inc.--the North American subsidiary of UCB S.A.'s global research-based pharmaceutical sector--has purchased Dendrite's industry-leading WebForce(TM)sales channel management solution for its entire 600-member U.S. sales force.

Under a multi-year contract, UCB Pharma will replace its existing Dendrite solution with Dendrite's new WebForce Express(TM)--a sales force solution that's especially designed for low-cost, rapid implementation. UCB Pharma will deploy the solution on newly released Tablet XP mobile devices--a leading edge hardware/operating system fully supported by Dendrite's product line.

"WebForce Express(TM) provides a cost-effective, yet powerful, scalable solution for our sales force that can be quickly and easily deployed for immediate utilization in the field," said Anthony Tebbutt, President of UCB Pharma. "This will enable us to increase sales productivity and achieve a much quicker return on our field force and technology investments."

WebForce(TM) is a comprehensive, web-enabled product suite that lets pharmaceutical companies manage sales force activities around the world. It provides sales teams with a single, centralized location from which to access and analyze product, sales, and customer information; evaluate competitors' business strategies; identify target customers for sales campaigns; and record details of representative/customer interactions (including those items mandated by local law).

"By having one of the best equipped and well-trained sales forces in the industry, UCB Pharma is clearly committed to retaining its position among the leading pharmaceutical companies of its size in the world," said Bob Parisi, Dendrite Group President--Domestic Market.

"Their decision to partner with Dendrite for both software and services will enable responsive, seamless service delivery and eliminate business disruption that may arise from coordinating activities of multiple support vendors."

UCB Pharma sales representatives and district managers will deploy Dendrite's ForcePharma(TM), a robust tool that provides rapid access to customer and other business intelligence information.

District and regional managers and home office personnel will utilize ForceAnalyzer(TM), a flexible, easy-to-use data viewing and analysis solution for monitoring and analyzing promotional activities.

To effectively control field force alignments and territory structures; manage drug sample distribution, storage, disposal, record keeping, and security; and comply with PDMA (Prescription Drug Marketing Act) regulations, home office staff will also utilize Dendrite's ForceAdministrator(TM) and Sample Guardian(TM) solutions.

The UCB Pharma contract includes a complete package of specialized support services: development/implementation, training, help desk, hardware and asset management, data center services, operations management, and technical support.
