Enterprise wireless data collection is a challenging environment for all systems developers and integrators of mobile technology. Wireless communication must rely upon existing communication mediums, with environmental challenges affecting the quality and speed of each transmission. Currently, the two standard protocols in wired or wireless communication are TCP/IP and UDP. Up to this point, developers and integrators have been forced to use one of the two protocols for wireless transmissions, depending on the type of data transmitted (text vs. video). Since wireless communication relies upon the transmission of packets over airwaves, environmental interference and noise are problems almost unavoidable due to the nature of a mobile user.
Agentek, Inc. has spent close to 10 years developing mobile applications for wireless data collection utilizing TCP/IP and UDP protocols. Agentek has recently designed a new protocol called TXP to address the outstanding problems of the mobile world and provide a true wireless protocol for data transmission.
The following pages describe this breakthrough technology protocol created by Agentek engineers for the wireless world.
