Tenrox Workforce Management Solution To Relieve Strain On Heritage Auctions' Internal IT Resources
Tenrox — the leading provider of workflow-driven timesheet solutions — announces that Dallas-based Heritage Auctions has purchased Tenrox Timesheet for Time & Labor to track work and non-work hours of the Auctions' 300 employees. Tenrox Timesheet will replace Heritage Auctions' current in-house developed time and attendance solution, which has become outdated and increasingly costly to support and maintain using internal resources.
Along with the increasing support and maintenance costs, Heritage Auctions' in-house solution has become inadequate in scaling to accommodate Heritage Auctions' current and anticipated growth rate. In addition, the solution was not fully integrated with Auctions' current payroll system requiring the manual transfer of payroll data from one application to the other. With Auctions' growing number of non-exempt employees, this process has become more difficult and costly to manage.
"We've reached a point in Heritage Auctions' growth and evolution where relying on an in-house time and attendance solution is no longer an economical or viable alternative," said Devin Smith, VP of Information Technologies at Heritage Auction. "The Tenrox solution will provide the integration and automation capabilities our current system lacks, as well as the scalability and flexibility to accommodate our growth and unique requirements as an auction gallery. As a fully supported and maintained solution, it will also relieve the strain on our internal IT resources, who can now concentrate on more value-added activities."
Tenrox Timesheet will be integrated with Heritage Auctions' online bar coding system, which is used by employees to log time spent on a number of pre-defined activities such as work time, leave time (vacation, sick leave, etc.), lunch hours, work-related and non-work-related errands, coffee breaks, overtime, and time spent at the gym. The solution will also be integrated with ADP Payroll once Heritage Auctions' has fully migrated to that new system.
Future plans include the addition of the Tenrox workflow module to manage HR processes such as New Hire workflow to identify and streamline various HR, IT, operational and logistical processes involved in setting up a new employee. Heritage Auctions anticipates significant improvements in process execution consistency, and reduction in time and cost of delivering these internal services, which currently take upwards of two to three weeks to complete.
