Clover Logistics is the largest service provider in chilled and frozen distribution channel. They carry a variety of foodstuffs in three different temperature bands which include frozen food, chilled food and food in the ambient band. Temperature specifications of this vast basket of foodstuffs varies between 18 °C and 6 °C .
Requirements
Temperature is critical and is an integral part of delivering quality. Without monitoring the driver’s behaviour once the truck has left the depot, it was difficult to manage cold-chain adherence.
The biggest challenge was limiting the amount of time the truck doors were open.
