Can you give us a briefoverview of DriveCam?

“Our organization was founded 14 years ago as the pioneer of in-cab video technology. This technology allows us to capture risky driving behavior and to provide evidence in the event of vehicle accidents. Through the use of DriveCam technology, we’ve been able to reduce teen driving collisions by 70%, and we’ve helped companies cut their fleet claims costs in half.

How does your M2M technology work?

“We have a device called an event recorder that we install in the cab of the vehicle. This event recorder has two imagers, one facing forward and one facing inside the vehicle, as well as an audio recorder. Additionally, the event recorder has a DVR that records the event and an accelerometer, which measures g-forces on the vehicle. If we ever detect that there are forces that exceed normal g-force range, then the event recorder triggers and we grab a video clip of the critical few seconds prior to the event and the seconds after, from both the outside and the in-cab view.”
