Symbol Joins Rockwell Automation's Encompass Partner Program
November 27, 2006 – Symbol Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:SBL), The Enterprise Mobility Company™, today announced the Company joined Rockwell Automation’s Encompass Partner Program. Symbol’s industry-leading rugged mobile computers and RD5000 mobile RFID reader are the first products in their respective classes to be referenced in the Encompass Partner Program.

Additional Symbol products approved by Rockwell Automation include the XR400 and XR480 fixed RFID readers that comply with Rockwell Automation’s Ethernet IP standard, DPM readers and mobile computers, and bar code scanners.
