Success Story: Bell Mobility

Challenge
Bell Mobility sought to provide a customizable and scalable mobile wireless solution for My Mobile Browser, its customizable browser application, to encourage the adoption of mobile Internet services among its subscribers. The concept would allow enterprise and consumer mobile device users to personalize their wireless Internet access. The solution had to support multilingual users, provide seamless scalability during deployment, anticipate new device technology and allow Bell Mobility to maintain administrative control.

Solution
After a thorough investigation, Bell Mobility selected the OneBridge Mobile Solutions Platform from Extended Systems to create and deploy a unique mobile portal management and personalization tool for My Mobile Browser. Subscribers have access to an unlimited number of wirelessly enabled web sites using any mobile wireless device. The portal also enables the company to effectively distribute content and applications from more than 70 partners. Users can select other Internet-enabled URLs to build a customized list of Internet resources, with the updated menu immediately available on the mobile device.
