Boston, MA /PRNewswire/ -- The global mobile workforce is set to increase from 1.45 billion in 2016, accounting for 38.8% of the global workforce, to 1.87 billion in 2022, accounting for 42.5% of the global workforce, according to the Strategy Analytics' latest report:, "Global Mobile Workforce Forecast Update 2016-2022." Globalization and continued advancements in mobile technology and applications, will continue to increase levels of mobility among executives, consultants, sales & field professionals, and other mobile professionals in all regions.

According to Gina Luk, Senior Analyst and author of the Strategy Analytics Mobile Workforce Strategies (MWS) reports, in overall terms, the workforces in the United States and Canada have been aging along with the populations in general. The workforces in the most economically developed parts of Europe are aging and shrinking, and the workforces in most of Asia (except Japan and South Korea), the Middle East, and South America are growing and getting younger. The growth of the mobile worker in much of Africa is also improving.
