November 29, 2006 - Sirit Inc. ("Sirit") (TSX: SI), a leading provider of radio frequency identification ("RFID") technology, is pleased to announce a firmware update that brings refined performance enhancements to the INfinity 510 UHF fixed reader. The update improves functionality in a number of areas and is recommended for all users.

Firmware revision 1.2 includes:

- Expanded regulatory regional support including Australia, Brazil, Hong Kong, India, Japan, NZ, Singapore, Thailand, and Korea.

- Enhanced digital I/O (input/output) technology for integration with sensors and actuators such as lights, and motion detectors.

- Enhanced support for Reva Systems' Tag Acquisition Processor(TM) (TAP). TAP was designed to act as a central command post for numerous networks of RFID interrogators (readers). The TAP is a rack-mountable device that plugs into networks of interrogators and the user's local area network (LAN). The TAP filters and aggregates tag reads before sending the tag data to software applications running at the enterprise level.

"Sirit continues its commitment to providing ongoing upgrades to its product line with the first firmware update to the INfinity 510 launched earlier this year. The flexible software design of the INfinity 510 allows us to easily incorporate additional regulatory standards as they develop and bring new functionality as markets demand," commented Tony Sabetti, Vice President, RF Solutions. "This is a critical differentiator to maintaining our leadership position and gives customers the peace of mind that hardware investments made today will meet their requirements of tomorrow."
