Over the past year I've had many conversations with various bar coding experts — both VARs and vendors — about what hot markets VARs should be targeting. Every one responded with healthcare. Indeed, while other markets are struggling due to the economy, healthcare bar coding needs continue to increase, and those VARs selling such solutions increase revenue. While the road to healthcare bar coding success isn't easy, it is lucrative. One VAR, Coridian Technologies, has found success by shifting its focus from manufacturing to healthcare. While other VARs are struggling to break even this year, Coridian is on pace to achieve 20% revenue growth.
