In addition to coordinating the activities of 5,500 technicians and 350 partner organizations nationwide, the company managed nearly 100 direct field service employees. To track employee locations and provide updated job details, the company had to call technicians on their personal cell phones, an ineffi cient process that generated substantial costs and complexity.
