Seaspan Ship Management Selects Kaleris Marine Fleet Performance Tool And Networked Loading Computer For Its Fleet
Alphalet, GA (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Kaleris, a provider of cloud-based supply chain execution and visibility technology, today announced that Seaspan Ship, the world’s largest independent container ship lessor and operator, Management has selected Kaleris marine fleet performance tool Bluetracker and networked loading computer solution MACS3 Connected for its fleet of 123 vessels. Seaspan is also installing Kaleris' Lashing Monitors on 27 new ships.
“Building fleets of ships, achieving a greener future and complying with emissions regulations puts maritime fleet performance at the forefront of shipowners and managers,” said Alfred Gomez, Seaspan Director of Maritime Standards. "Incorporating real-world data on cargo conditions on board into standard marine fleet performance datasets can bring a new level of understanding of ship performance and emissions control."
Using MACS3 Connected also helps to expand collaboration between ship managers or departments within a ship owner, as everyone can view the same set of data and ask their own questions.
The flexibility and scalability of the Kaleris Marine Fleet Performance Tool, along with customizable reporting capabilities, is key to Seaspan's ability to efficiently manage its fleet. Bluetracker One's analytics are innovative and well-connected to agencies that monitor and review emissions compliance. Seaspan's flexible combination of in-house tools and third-party vendors facilitated an easy transition from existing solutions to Bluetracker without disrupting operations.
A key advantage of Seaspan is the security it provides for both cargo and crew. Seaspan's installation of Lashing Monitors on container ships will reduce the risk of containers being lost at sea, especially during periods of severe weather. The monitor also offers a key advantage in that the monitoring data can be viewed by ship managers and operators to ensure safe navigation.
"Kaleris is a company with a mission to connect customers to powerful supply chain execution and visibility solutions, and we look forward to providing Seaspan with cutting-edge technology to ensure their fleets have access to the capabilities we already have in maritime. Backed by the Navis brand with over 30 years of experience," said Martin Bardi, CVS Vice President of Worldwide Sales.
Two implementation teams are currently working on the deployment of the solution, which is expected to launch in the last quarter of this year.
