As it turns out, there's a lot more to it. Behind the scenes a network of people, trucks, warehouses, and technology supports the delivery of packaged goods to locations where consumers can make purchases. In the mid-Atlantic, the supply of candy is from Layman Candy Company, Inc., a full-service wholesale distributor, supplying retailers with not only candy items but grocery items, dairy products, health and beauty aids, tobacco products, and deli goods.

The company started as a small candy distributor more than 50 years ago for convenience stores in and around Roanoke, VA. Today, Layman Candy serves more than 500 businesses with more than 7,000 convenience items.
