People sometimes joke about stealing the towels at their hotel, and a few even follow through with it. But, missing linens are no laughing matter for the hospitality industry. Large hotels stock thousands of towels, robes, and table cloths, and when items go missing, they are forced to purchase more or keep otherwise unnecessary safety stock on hand.
