Retriever Communications Improves Productivity And Safety Of Mobile Workers With The HERE Platform For Positioning Capabilities
Mobile enterprise app developer leverages HERE Platform in its workforce automation software in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand
Retriever Communications, a global provider of mobile field force automation, recently announced it will leverage the location platform from HERE, a Nokia business, into its applications and mobile cloud for global positioning and mapping service. The addition of the HERE Platform will provide Retriever’s customers with advanced features, enabling them to locate field workers, display their location and use such information to improve their productivity, safety and visibility.
HERE employs one of the largest teams of geographic analysts to drive the roads daily to ensure hundreds of features, such as accurate speed limits, truck signs and bridge heights, indoor venues and new roads are available to people as soon as possible after changes occur. This allows HERE to provide the most accurate enterprise-grade quality maps to Retriever.
Retriever’s Scheduling application, the first cloud scheduler to incorporate the HERE location platform, allows mobile workers deployed at a job site to be connected to the home office through Retriever’s mobile cloud and server. For this system, the detailed GPS location data will help businesses optimize their mobile work forces by providing the best route to a job, turn-by-turn navigation and approximate site arrival time.
“We have assessed the HERE location platform, built on 25 years of mapping leadership, to have the world’s most complete and accurate map data,” said Mary Brittain-White, CEO and co-founder of Retriever Communications. “As a global company, we needed to look beyond the hyped or trendy mapping services popular in only one region and incorporate a worldwide technology that would work offline and online in order to provide our users with vital location-based information. The HERE platform is that solution. Now, our customers can provide more intelligent service delivery and better predict arrival times, ultimately improving customer service.”
