Regional Cable Service Provider Selects Wireless Matrix FleetOutlook

Deployment in Midwest Replaces Existing GPS Fleet Tracking Solution

Wireless Matrix Corporation announced recently that a Midwestern market of one of the company's cable Multi System Operator (MSO) customers has signed an agreement to deploy FleetOutlook GPS fleet tracking services.

Under the agreement, Wireless Matrix adds approximately 165 FleetOutlook and communications subscribers to its subscriber base, with potential for 250 additional subscribers in the first quarter of 2011.

The win is significant for Wireless Matrix. The agreement marks a decision by the customer to move from a competing service to FleetOutlook for GPS tracking and vehicle management within its service fleet.

Among the key differentiators driving the adoption of FleetOutlook were the navigation capabilities of the product's TechConnect module utilizing the Garmin personal navigation device for in-cab directions and messaging, plus the ability of the application to help capture and move metrics such as fuel usage and idle time. The customer also liked the product features for integration with its existing systems, including those for work force management, allowing them to more easily extract additional value from their systems investments.
