State-of-the-Art, Reliable, Ergonomic, Rugged PDA
January 8, 2006 – PSC Inc., an international market leader in data-collection technology and services, announces the expansion of the Falcon® 4400 mobile computer line to include Bluetooth® wireless technology, 128MB RAM/128MB Flash memory, full alpha-numeric numbers-up keypad, and a high-density 2D scan-engine.
“Providing customer choice is the key attribute of the PSC Falcon 4400 Series of mobile computers,” said Tom Burke, PSC’s General Manager, Mobile & Wireless Division. “The Falcon 4400 Series products are time-tested, customerdemanded, durable and ergonomic mobile computers in warehouse, distribution-center, and retail in-store environments.”
Two major highlights of the Falcon 4400 Series product expansion are the addition of Bluetooth® wireless technology and a new 128MB RAM/128MB Flash memory option. With Bluetooth® Class 2 wireless technology, users can now wirelessly connect to printers and other local device peripherals. The additional memory increases speed and improves handling of larger files and applications.
The new high-density 2D scan engine provides the Falcon 4400 Series mobile computers with an unmatched range of bar code scanning engines. Currently available engines include a Standard Range Laser, a Long Range Laser, an Advanced Long Range Laser, a Linear Imager and a 2D Imager.
A new 52-key numbers-up keypad designed for single-handed operation compliments the keypad suite of 26-key, 48-key, and 52-key keyboards for application customization. Customers can also choose between Windows Mobile® 5.0 or Windows® CE 5.0 operating systems.
