PeopleNet Announces Compatibility With Motorola Handheld Device
PeopleNet has announced availability of the first in a series of Motorola handheld devices that will support the company’s fleet mobility applications.
The MC75A handheld device will provide users with a rugged, but mobile, solution, the company says.
“This announcement kicks off our partnership with Motorola and a suite of commercial-grade handhelds that offers our customers highly durable options for reliable, convenient end-to-end management throughout the supply chain with PeopleNet in-cab technologies,” said PeopleNet executive vice-president Rick Ochsendorf. “This ruggedized device offers drivers the durability they need inside and outside of the cab, with resilience to the elements, being dropped, and tossed around the cab to curb, if not eliminate, replacement costs.”
Drivers will enjoy access to more display options, which are fully supported by PeopleNet applications, the company announced.
Each MC75A handheld device will be certified by PeopleNet to ensure they support safety and compliance management, drive and vehicle monitoring, and the company’s performance-boosting applications, the company announced. As such, the MC75A will protect critical, proprietary data against loss and security breaches, providing fleets with a company-owned, personally-enabled (COPE) strategy for fleet mobility systems.
