n PocketJet 3 and 3 Plus Printers
The PocketJet series of printers are some of the smallest, lightest, and most effective full-page portable/mobile printing solutions you can buy. The printer's dimensions are only 1.18 inches x 10.04 inches x 2.17 inches, ideal for portable carrying in your laptop bag or mounting in a vehicle with little loss of real estate. They weigh only 1.12 pounds with the battery and 0.89 pounds without.
The PocketJet 3 offers 200 dpi while the PocketJet 3 Plus offers 300 dpi. Sharp text, crisp graphics, and high-quality documents on cut-sheet, roll, or fanfold paper up to three pages per minute are the hallmark of these printers.
These printers can easily be used as output devices by laptop or handheld computers. Interface choices include USB, wireless IrDA (infrared port), and optional wireless Bluetooth interfaces.
Never run out of ink or toner or deal with messes caused by these items because with the advanced Direct Thermal technology the only consumable needed is PENTAX Quality Paper, either 8 ½- inch sheet fed or roll.
PocketJet printers are powered by either long-life NiMH (nickel-metal hydride) rechargeable batteries with over 100 pages per full charge, or unlimited printing using vehicle adapters, or AC adapters.
PocketJet printer kits include all you need to begin printing right out of the box.

n RuggedJet 4 Printer
This printer, like the PocketJet, is designed to withstand daily on-the-job mobile printing demands. Fast printing speed is up to 2.76 inches/second.
Features of this rugged printer include being wearable, weighing about two pounds, and having a 'drop-in' 4-inch paper loading system.
Other features include 200 dpi print quality, small size, and being easily configurable for custom forms and applications.
Included in the kit is a high-capacity lithium-ion battery and versatile interface options including serial, USB, wireless Infrared, and optional Bluetooth. The battery fully charges in 180 minutes from either a wall-mount charging adapter or an optional DC vehicle power adapter.
An optional feature is a magnetic card reader or a smart card reader for in-field card reading.

n DSmobile 600 Scanner
This powerful, compact, and lightweight 600-dpi color document scanner offers exceptional quality portable scanning and easy management of documents and photos. It provides up to 600-dpi resolution, high-speed USB 2.0 interface, is powered by the host PC, and includes software that will enhance and simplify mobile scanning needs.
The DSmobile 600 scanner offers color scanning from business-size to legal-size documents, one-touch scanning with automatic PDF output, and TWAIN compatibility. It includes PageManager 7 plus DSmobileSCAN II software for a multiplicity of user applications.
This scanner weighs only 12 ounces and scans 3 to 5 pages per minute.
All PENTAX products are covered by a one-year standard warranty with some products offering an optional warranty extension of up to four years.

Company Overview
PENTAX Imaging Company was founded in 1919 and became one of the leading lens suppliers to Japanese camera and optical instrument manufacturers in the first half of the 20th century. In the 1950s, PENTAX invented and became a major developer and supplier of high-quality SLR (single-lense reflex) cameras, lenses, and binoculars to world wide customers.
By 1987, PENTAX had expanded into computer-related optical systems. Products developed through the 1990s included laser photo plotters, desktop document scanners, and continuous-form laser printers.
A new pocket-sized printer called the PocketJet using full-sheet thermal printing technology was released in 1994 for the mobile computing market to celebrate PENTAX's 75th anniversary.
Current products include faster production laser printers and an expanded product line for the mobile computing market, including fleet deployments and governmental agencies.
