September 24, 2008 — ORBCOMM (Nasdaq: ORBC), announced today that it reached an agreement with the largest Canadian wireless carrier that will expand ORBCOMM's terrestrial and dual mode wireless services with the addition of GSM service in Canada. The agreement enables ORBCOMM to offer blended plans that incorporate both cellular and satellite wireless services at one low price. The combined rate plans will be marketed by ORBCOMM and its partners to address a diverse range of applications that require ubiquitous coverage and high-data rate capability.

"The addition of terrestrial wireless services in the Canadian market will enable us to combine our satellite capabilities with GSM to create a very compelling combination of coverage, performance and price," said Marc Eisenberg, ORBCOMM's Chief Executive Officer. "Several of ORBCOMM's resellers and end-users are currently utilizing dual mode products in the United States and other areas. We expect that several of these will be introduced to the Canadian market as we roll out services there."
