NRTC And Clevest Help Rural Utility Industry Modernize Field Service Operations By Renewing Successful Partnership

Clevest Solutions Inc., a leading provider of mobile workforce automation software including smart grid deployment and post-deployment operations exclusively for the utility industry, recently announced it has renewed an exclusive agreement with the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC) to offer Clevest’s software and services for mobile workforce management and smart grid operations to its rural electric cooperative members. The agreement renews the terms of the highly successful partnership between the two organizations originally formed in November 2009.

“Amidst tremendous change in our industry, our members remain focused on innovating operations, enhancing responsiveness and strengthening overall service reliability. NRTC’s partnerships with technology leaders like Clevest help members achieve these goals,” said NRTC President Jack Harvey. “In just over three years, we’ve seen an impressive increase in the number of members who have selected Clevest and, as our industry continues to invest in modernizing operations, we expect this momentum to continue.”

“The rural utility market has been a long-standing commitment for Clevest and the NRTC’s influence and extensive reach into this area has increased the appetite for our solutions in a timeframe that we simply couldn’t have achieved on our own,” emphasized Tom Ligocki, CEO of Clevest. “From larger NRTC members such as Bluebonnet Electric Coop in Texas to smaller members like San Isabel Electric Association in Colorado, our solutions have been endorsed by NRTC members across the country and we’re excited to build on this success.”

Clevest’s mobile workforce management system streamlines day-to-day field service operations with dispatching and mobile applications that use real-time wireless communications to exchange information between the office and the field. It optionally integrates both automatic vehicle location and mobile outage capabilities.

The company’s mobile solution for smart grid operations helps utilities improve control over the complete smart grid lifecycle, from planning and deployment to post-deployment maintenance and support. To date, there are more than 15 million smart meters deployed using the Clevest solution; more than half of the leading AMI technology vendors have developed software integration points with Clevest.
