The SmartSite Needle-Free system is designed to reduce the need for needles and the risk of needlesticks. Beginning with a swab of the valve port, caregivers connect the standard luer lock or luer slip to the valve port, then detach the luer. The fluid path on the two-way valve port automatically reseals, with no cap or extra time required.
