NAFA's 2017 Conference Continues To Exceed Expectations
Association Reports Largest Fleet Professional Attendance in Fleet Industry
With the final attendance numbers in hand, NAFA Fleet Management Association (NAFA) proudly announces that its 2017 Institute & Expo (I&E), which took place April 25-28 in Tampa, Florida, remains the industry's largest learning and networking event by bringing together the most fleet professionals year after year.
This year’s Institute & Expo drew 733 fleet managers, an increase of 10% over 2016. Overall conference attendance was an impressive 2,453 individuals. Once again, NAFA's I&E is not only the conference fleet professionals trust most, but I&E is the conference they endorse and will recommend to their peers.
I&E is "…the largest gathering of fleet managers, the most information a fleet professional can gain in a single week,” said NAFA Chief Executive Officer Phillip E. Russo, CAE. "The unparalleled access that I&E offers proves itself, year in and year out. The 2017 I&E was another banner conference, moving from strength to strength, ensuring that fleet professionals will bring great information, cost-savings ideas, and valuable contacts back to their supervisors."
The 2017 event boasted more than 40 hours of educational sessions, as fleet professionals took advantage of the conference's top-quality education, visited the exhibit floor with more than 265 companies showcasing the latest products and services, and enjoyed the fifth annual presentation of NAFA’s Fleet Excellence Awards. An inspiring keynote presentation from Doug Keeley, a bestselling author and leadership expert, rounded out the four-day fleet professional experience. Attendees networked during a wide array of organized gatherings and receptions and took full advantage of all the event had to offer.
Russo added, "Work on next year’s conference begins almost immediately when NAFA staff return to headquarters. It is a phenomenal commitment to excellence, and a lot of work, but as we've seen in Tampa, Florida, it's absolutely worth it. Thank you all who attended the conference for making it a success. We look forward to Anaheim, California in 2018 where I'm confident we will exceed your expectations once again."
