Mobile Workforce Management: Wherify Wireless And Tracker Brazil Collaborate On New Service Offerings
Wherify Wireless, Inc. and Tracker Brazil recently announced the award winning Wherifone GPS locator phone will be used as the handset platform for several GPS location tracking service applications. Tracker Brazil will also use Wherify's business-to-business interface platform, which allows for easy service creation and operation capabilities over their existing platform.
Tracker Brazil will be launching a series of services during November allowing parents and family members to track children and elderly relatives by simply logging on to an easy to use website or by simply sending a text message. Additionally, the Brazilian service operator will be launching several enterprise-oriented applications allowing business owners to easily and effectively monitor the activities of their mobile workforce via GPS tracking in order to both improve security and productivity. Tracker Brazil plans to market these services to their current base of over 250,000 subscribers.
Fernando Cardenas, president of Tracker Brazil, commented, "We have found Wherify's products to be a strong fit for the emergency response and roadside assistance services we plan to introduce over the coming weeks. We plan an aggressive rollout to market these new services, which includes targeted advertising to over 11,000 insurance agents with which we are currently associated and to national trade publications, magazines and newspapers."
Vince Sheeran, CEO of Wherify Wireless, stated, "We believe there is an excellent fit between the services Tracker Brazil will be implementing and the GSM-based services provided by Wherify. Tracker Brazil will not only be using the Wherifone as the handset platform, but will also be implementing our business-to-business interface, which will allow the Wherifone devices to work on their existing platform with only minimal modification. We look forward to working with Tracker Brazil as they introduce these services throughout the country."
