Mobile Solution: Antenna Software To Showcase AMP Studio Mobile Application Development Environment At Wireless Enterprise Symposium
Wireless Enterprise Symposium Antenna Software, one of the leader in mobile enterprise technologies and solutions, will showcase its recently announced AMP Studio mobile applications development platform this week at the Wireless Enterprise Symposium. Antenna Software works with the BlackBerry wireless solution from Research In Motion (RIM) , to help organizations adopt enterprise mobility – putting important business information on the front lines, where it's needed the most. Antenna Software and RIM have helped many organizations extend the value of their back-end CRM, ERP and SFA systems out to the fingertips of their field workers. Antenna Software's proven, enterprise-grade mobility solutions will be showcased at the event through actual product demonstrations, as well as case studies from joint customers with RIM – Toshiba America Medical Systems (TAMS) and IntraLase, an Advanced Medical Optics (AMO) company.
Last month, Antenna Software announced AMP Studio, its open, standards-based development environment for enterprises that want to mobilize their business applications quickly, easily and cost effectively, with little or no custom coding required. AMP Studio works with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to bring enterprise applications to BlackBerry smartphones. With AMP Studio running on the Antenna Mobility Platform, enterprises can take advantage of the platform's , model-driven approach – empowering companies to build a single composite application, and deploy it simultaneously across multiple devices, all from a single platform.
"Since Antenna Software started providing mobile business solutions a decade ago, our customers' requirements for mobility have been steadily progressing," said Jim Hemmer, president and CEO of Antenna Software. "Initially, it was about helping employees communicate through mobile voice, e-mail and simple messaging. Then remote data access became critical. Today, we're starting to see the next wave of mobility unfold where companies recognize that mobility needs to be more deeply embedded in business processes. The Antenna Mobility Platform helps companies adopt these best practices to stay competitive and position their companies for success in the future."
"As more and more employees and organizations experience the multifaceted benefits of the BlackBerry platform firsthand, there is a natural interest in mobilizing more business functions," said Jeff McDowell, Vice President, Global Alliances, Research In Motion. "The Antenna Mobility Platform and AMP Studio can help customers maximize the value of their investments in wireless systems and provide mobile workers with even greater access to timely and relevant information on the front lines, where they need it most."
A demonstration of AMP Studio will take place at the Wireless Enterprise Symposium in the developers' lab on Wednesday, May 9, between 10:00 a.m.-noon EST. In addition, two Antenna Software and RIM customers will discuss the ROI from their mobility solutions in separate case study presentations:
IntraLase, an AMO company and provider of ophthalmic laser technology for LASIK and corneal procedures, will discuss how customer support engineers throughout North America use the Antenna AMPower Service solution on BlackBerry smartphones. IntraLase will discuss how a solid plan for mobility helped it to achieve more accurate parts delivery, improved customer responsiveness and fewer customer support calls. The IntraLase case study will be presented at the following time:
"Developing Your Mobility Plan – Profiling Users" Tuesday, May 8, 2007 1:30 p.m.-3:00 p.m. EST
Toshiba America Medical Systems (TAMS) has been nominated for the Wireless Leadership Award, which will be presented at the symposium. TAMS, a provider of diagnostic imaging systems in the United States, will show how it deployed Antenna's platform on top of its BlackBerry Enterprise Solution and empowered nearly 500 field engineers with real-time customer and service information. The results were decreased call volume, improved customer service and inventory management and increased field efficiency with on-demand information. The TAMS case study will be presented at the following time:
"Time Sensitive to Mission Critical: How Business Applications Deployed With BlackBerry Service from AT&T Can Drive Results" Tuesday, May 8, 2007 10:45 a.m.-11:45 a.m. EST
