Mobile Printer: O'Neil Introduces PrintPAD MC70 Designed to Integrate With Motorola's MC70 Digital Assistant Mobile Computer

O'Neil Product Development, Inc. manufacturer of The Most Reliable Portable Printers, and a subsidiary of Dover Corporation, recently announced the availability of the PrintPAD MC70, which combines O'Neil's new enhanced 4" thermal printer, the 4te, with an integrated cradle for Motorola's enterprise-class MC70 handheld. The PrintPAD MC70 offers mobile workers the convenience of a portable printer and handheld digital assistant united in a compact and ergonomic, rugged and reliable unit. The sleek design of the PrintPAD allows users to conveniently and securely carry their MC70, communicate with the printer, as well as charge both the MC70 and the printer, all in a single integrated package.

The PrintPAD MC70 also offers an integral Bluetooth option, giving mobile workers the ability to communicate with the printer wirelessly when the MC70 is not residing in the PrintPAD's cradle. The new PrintPad also includes an optional built-in magnetic stripe card reader allowing the easy collection of credit or debit card payments. Users can quickly determine the printer's Bluetooth charging and power status with the PrintPAD's new external LEDs. For direct store delivery applications, optional DEX capabilities are available, allowing communication via DEX connections with no special software or mechanical switches. The ultra-rugged PrintPAD MC70 can print up to 2,240 - 6" receipts on a single battery charge with automated power-saving sleep and wake-up modes. It prints top-quality 80-column condensed font receipts, graphics, and international fonts, on direct thermal paper and labels, with 4 MB of Flash and 2 MB of RAM.

"MC70 users are benefiting from the absolute latest advancements from O'Neil, both in printing technology and design," offered Endre Vargha, general manager for O'Neil. "This latest version of the PrintPAD not only incorporates a sleeker design but can also process complex applications up to ten (10) times faster."

"Enhancing speed and ergonomic considerations are two key ways we can positively affect direct store delivery and field mobile applications efficiency," continued Jeff Osborne, O'Neil's vice president of branding and communications. "Not only will users print faster than ever, but MC70 users can perform more efficiently through the ease of carrying, communicating, and charging provided by the PrintPAD."
