Naturale Science Pharma Inc. (NSP), a wholly owned subsidiary of NSP Pharma Corp., is the Canadian marketer and supplier of Modèle skin care and healthcare products. These products are currently sold in more than 12,000 stores across North America. The company plans to become a premier supplier of skin care and healthcare solutions to the global population. Thus, it must expand distribution and increase sales.

Until late 2005, NSP contracted its sales force externally. As the business grew and it became more visible in the public market, NSP brought the sales force in-house. In light of its goal to increase market share, NSP wanted a real-time solution to gather business intelligence from the field and supply products to retailers more effectively. NSP realized it needed a wireless solution and began seeking IT specialists to develop such a solution internally. During this development, NSP learned that its wireless carrier, Rogers, offered a mobile forms solution via its alliance partner TrueContext called mFORMS that fit its requirements.

mFORMS is an end-to-end mobile workflow solution designed to automate paperwork and processes for field staff over the Rogers wireless network. The solution includes an operating system, software application, wireless data network, mobile device, managed IT services, and help desk support. NSP's mFORMS deployment runs on 13 HP iPAQ Pocket PC devices running Windows Mobile. The solution converts previous paper and voice-based data exchanges into wireless communications. The application was customized for NSP to include multiple screens, enabling vital field data collection from sales reps located across Canada. Now, with little or no training, sales reps simply progress through the various screens, filling in data in the appropriate fields. The data is then submitted in real time to NSP's head office. With the mobile solution in place, NSP has increased sales by 20%.
