Mobile Enterprise Asset Management

When mobile devices debuted in the business realm, they were regarded as tools for wireless verbal communications and contact managers.  Soon, users could send and receive emails from mobile devices.  Now, mobile devices are not only for talking and emailing, but for performing a variety of essential business operations.  Mobile devices now run almost any business application a PC can, greatly expanding the potential of mobile devices to increase efficiencies, productivity, and revenues.  One area where mobile devices are transforming old practices is the mobile enterprise asset management space.  Mobile enterprise asset management refers to the performance of asset management tasks in a variety of locations, via a mobile workforce utilizing mobile technologies (e.g. mobile phones and tablets).
