Mobile Devices: Ikivo Brings Mobile SVG Images And Animation Functionality To NetBeans Mobility Community

Ikivo AB, a leading provider of open standards based rich media solutions for mobile devices, and Sun Microsystems, the project sponsor for NetBeans, announced recently that Ikivo has joined the NetBeans Strategic Partner Program. This alliance will assure that the NetBeans community of developers, have access to enhanced authoring tool solutions for rapid creation and deployment of Mobile SVG content and rich media services to Java Platform, Mobile Edition (Java ME) devices.

The innovative possibilities provided by SVG Tiny through the JSR-226 interface, and from the soon to be published JSR-287 interface bring compelling open standards based content to an extensive and ever increasing range of mobile devices.

The integration of Ikivo´s leading SVG authoring tool, the Animator, with NetBeans integrated development environment (IDE) provides an intuitive way to design mobile Java applications incorporating SVG images and animations. This enables creation of an engaging, responsive user experience to stimulate repetitive use of any mobile Java application.
