Minew Launches Battery-Free Asset Tracking Solution In Collaboration With Epishine And e-peas
Minew, a global leader in lot device manufacturing, today announces the launch of MTB11, a Bluetooth asset tracker powered entirely by indoor light. Developed together with Swedish printed solar cell company Epishine and Belgian semiconductor company e-peas, the MTB11 offers a practical, maintenance-free solution to large-scale asset tracking, completely without disposable batteries.
Minew projects up to 1 million units produced over the next three years, with an expected annual growth rate of over 30%. The strong demand is driven by sectors such as logistics, warehousing, and healthcare, which are actively seeking scalable and sustainable lot alternatives.
"MTB11 is not just a new product, it's a new standard," said Eason, Product Director at Minew. "It's a powerful convergence of design, technology, and sustainability."
The MTB11 is a compact tracker, smaller than a credit card, designed specifically for indoor environments. It is powered by ambient light using Epishine's printed solar cells, while e-peas' power management technology enables the device to run efficiently for years without disposable batteries. This makes the tracker completely maintenance-free, ideal for high-density deployments in warehouses, hospitals, and logistics hubs.
"This marks a turning point for logistics," said Anders Kottenauer CEO at Epishine "where compact form, extended lifetime, and true sustainability finally unlock large-scale digitalization"
"Energy harvesting is no longer a niche-it's becoming mainstream, as demonstrated by the growing number of applications entering the market," said Christian Ferrier, CMO at e-peas. "The MTB11 proves that energy harvesting is not only reliable and practical, but also ready for large-scale deployment."
With no need for battery replacement or wiring, the MTB11 significantly reduces maintenance costs and environmental waste. It opens the door to mass deployment of connected devices across industries, simplifying operations and accelerating the shift to more sustainable infrastructure.
