MedApps Chooses Enfora's Enabler III Product To Use Within Its HealthPAL Remote Health Monitoring Devices

Challenge

77% of Americans over the age of 65 have a chronic disease. Although disease management applications were being developed for smartphones, many elderly and indigent patients with these chronic diseases don’t have or can’t afford smartphones. MedApps set out to change that with low-cost devices designed to monitor and report on critical information such as blood pressure, oxygen levels, weight and glucose levels.

Solution

MedApps was introduced to Enfora through mutual business partner, Texas Instruments. The company chose to use Enfora’s Enabler III product within its HealthPAL Remote Health Monitoring devices, providing GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity into their compact footprint.
