Q&A with storm chaser Dustin Feldman

Submitted by Wilson Electronics

Dustin Feldman is former medic and field coordinator on the Discovery Channel series Storm Chasers. He is cofounder and principal of Taos, New Mexico-based Viper Tours, which provides extreme storm chasing adventures for clients.

Feldman generously consented to answer a few questions about the importance to storm chasers of maintaining cellular connectivity during the most extreme weather conditions.

WILSON ELECTRONICS: Can you describe the signal challenges you face out in the field, and tell us why you installed a cellular signal booster system in your chase vehicle?

FELDMAN: We chase storms, and we need to receive weather data in real time as we are chasing. Reliably receiving this data is critical both for successful chasing as well as for maintaining our safety.
