LXE Receives Award For Mobile RFID Systems
August 31, 2006 -- LXE Inc., a leading manufacturer of rugged wireless computers that improve the performance of supply-chain execution applications, announced today that it has been honored by global growth consulting company Frost & Sullivan with the 2006 Product Line Strategy Leadership Award for LXE’s efforts in developing and commercializing mobile RFID systems. The award is presented annually to companies that have demonstrated meaningful insight into customer needs and product demands.

The RX2 RFID reader addresses a need for a “simple,” easy-to-install, vehicle-mounted RFID reader that can be used for standard RFID-based forklift pallet move applications, such as shipping, receiving, picking and put-aways, in which Electronic Product CodeTM (EPC) RFID-based identification of pallet loads and locations is used. LXE's mobile RFID product line also includes solutions for handheld operations.
