A new study shows how transportation and logistics companies are embracing the Internet of Things to transform their industry.
The demands of customers and regulators on transportation and logistics (T&L) companies continue to increase amidst staff shortages and tight margins. How can these companies at the heart of the economy respond? Better and faster access to information can help. One way to improve that access is to leverage the Internet of Things (IoT). And, the T&L industry is at the forefront of that trend.
According to a recent survey by Forrester Consulting, 96 percent of T&L companies agree the IoT is the most strategic technological initiative their organization will undertake in the next decade. In fact, 90 percent of T&L companies either have or plan to deploy IoT solutions within a year.
