Q&A: Introducing The ES400: The Latest In Handhelds From Motorola

Source: Motorola Mfg.

The ES400 was created to fill a gap between consumer- oriented devices and more rugged industrial mobile computers enabling enterprises to purchase the right device for the right worker. As Motorola's smallest pocketable Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA), the ES400 packs big business functionality into a sleek design, marrying a compact and lightweight form factor with enterprise security, ease-of-use and a low total cost of ownership (TCO).

The ES400 was created to address both line of business applications and an underserved market segment – the mobile strategic task worker. This group of mobile workers typically has more managerial responsibilities and do not perform tasks that are supported by Motorola's more rugged, scan-intensive devices.
