InterDigital Signs Enfora To Worldwide 2G And 3G Patent License Agreement

InterDigital, Inc. recently announced that its patent holding subsidiaries have entered into a worldwide, non-transferable, non-exclusive, royalty-bearing patent license agreement with Enfora, Inc. ("Enfora"). The agreement covers the sale of Machine-to-Machine (M2M) modules, M2M devices, and PC Cards designed to operate in accordance with 2G and/or 3G cellular standards.

Enfora, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is a leading provider of wireless networking solutions that enable enterprises to access, analyze, and leverage information from their geographically dispersed assets. The company's wireless software and platforms are deployed in energy, transportation, medical, and security applications around the world.

"Our new agreement with Enfora expands our licensing of InterDigital's 2G and 3G patents in the M2M market," commented Lawrence Shay, President of InterDigital's patent holding subsidiaries. "We now have under license suppliers of more than half of the cellular M2M module market which, based on industry reports, is expected to quadruple between now and 2015."
