Intellisync Demonstrates Unified Messaging For Mobile Devices
Intellisync Corporation (Nasdaq: SYNC), the leader in platform-independent wireless messaging and mobile software, will demonstrate the "Intellisync Unified Messaging" for mobile devices starting today, at the CTIA Wireless I.T. & Entertainment 2005 event (Moscone Center, San Francisco; Booth#153).
The Intellisync Unified Messaging demo will show how wireless carriers and enterprises can offer a truly unified mobile communication experience to their customers. By providing seamless and secure access, and an easy "one-touch" device interface, the Intellisync solution is designed to increase productivity and user satisfaction with wireless communications.
Any type of mobile communication - email, voice, text or instant message (IM) - will be accessible on a single interface on any device in any location. Woodson 'Woody' Hobbs, chief executive officer of Intellisync, said, "We continue to bring innovative, easy, and simple-to-use complete wireless messaging solutions to users of all types of mobile devices running on virtually every mobile platform and operating system. We are now extending our wireless email platform in an unprecedented manner that includes 'presence services' integrated with IM, SMS and voice. The mobile messaging space is not just about feature-heavy smartphones, it's about the entire population of wireless devices - from the smallest, sleekest cellular phone to the most high-end converged devices."
"The new and enhanced Intellisync solution is designed to provide wireless carriers with a service to increase their ARPU and create 'sticky' customer relationships. We continue to be the main white-label solution for a number of carriers worldwide including Verizon Wireless, Equant/France Telecom and Vivo," he added.
Intellisync Unified Messaging supports a broad range of mobile data device environments including PalmOS, Microsoft Windows Mobile (PocketPC and Smartphone), SymbianOS (UIQ, Series 60 and Series 80) and BREW. The email application built into the Intellisync Unified Messaging platform supports Microsoft Exchange and Outlook, IBM Lotus Domino and Notes, and Internet email from providers like Comcast, Earthlink, and AOL. The system also supports industry standard communications protocols including POP3, IMAP, and SyncML.
The unified messaging solution "powered by Intellisync" is currently intended to be available for enterprises and for wireless carriers in November 2005.
