Industrial Computing Introduces The Guardian 135 Rugged Handheld Data Terminal With Bar Code Scanner

June 20, 2008 — The Guardian 135 is a military grade (MIL-STD-810F) ultra-rugged handheld data terminal. It combines the Windows CE 5.0 OS and Intel's high performance RISC CPU PXA270 to create a powerful handheld data collection computer. Wireless connectivity both by 802.11b/g WLAN and Bluetooth let you connect to your main computer without cables. With included PCMCIA and SD slots, you can increase data storage and add a variety of accessories, such as a GPS card, GPRS card, or RFID Card. With the optional bar-code scanner for data capture, the Guardian 135 is very suitable for supply chain management applications and many others. Tested and rated IP67, it is impervious to dust, dirt and moisture. Tested and rated to withstand a 5 foot (1.5m) drop to concrete, it will withstand the most demanding of environments.
