HP India Launches Aircraft-Inspired HP EliteBook Notebook PC Series

HP India has launched its HP EliteBook Notebook PC series designed especially for the style-conscious corporate mobile professional. Inspired by aircraft construction, HP said these notebooks are ideal for professionals who seek the perfect blend of style with high power business computing in their PC.

The series features military-standard durability, which is designed to be business-rugged withstanding dust, vibration, altitude and high temperature, helping users stay connected wherever, whenever.

The HP EliteBook series comprises a total of six premium business notebooks, the 2530p, 2730p, 6930p, 8530p, 8730w and 8530w, encompassing the professional (p) and mobile workstation (w) class notebooks series. HP said these product families are distinguished by their contemporary look and design that provides the ultimate high-performing PC experience. The series brings alive minimalist design and maximum durability, which enriches the computing experience.

Bundled with HP Professional Innovations, HP said the new EliteBook series ushers convenience to enhance the computing experience while proving peace of mind to the user. The shock-resistant hard drive and spill-resistant keyboard help protect confidential data residing in the notebook against bumps, drops and spills. Frequent travelers can take advantage of the optional ultra-slim battery accessory that offers up to 15 combined hours of battery life.

The HP DuraCase is a brushed, anodized aluminum exterior casing; combined with a magnesium alloy chassis, which ensures that the notebook continues to look new for years. HP DuraFinish protects the notebook's palm rest and display covers from scratches.

The HP DuraKeys, which is a clear coating on the notebook keyboard, makes the keyboard 50 times more resistant to wear and tear. To ensure reliability and ruggedness, these notebooks undergo more than 95,000 hours of testing and a 1000-mile simulation of the vibrations. The HP Notebook stand makes it ergonomically viable by encouraging better seating posture by elevating the notebook to eye-level. Other innovations include the HP QuickLook2 software, which provides access to email, calendar, task and contact information within seconds, at the touch of a button. The HP SpareKey feature addresses the hassle of forgotten passwords by using a sequence of three predetermined personal identification questions to gain immediate entry into the system.

The HP EliteBook series incorporates Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processors, solid-state hard drives and the latest Qualcomm's Gobi technology to provide customers with greater choice of mobile operators and increased international roaming capabilities. All HP business notebooks are also designed with the environment in mind, with energy-efficient features, select materials for easier recycling and lower levels of environmentally unfriendly substances. For example, several HP notebooks are available with the choice of an optional mercury-free Illumi-Lite LED display, which is lighter and more energy-efficient than standard notebook display technology.
