You’ve probably heard the term ‘digital transformation’ before, but, just in case, here is a simple definition: Digital transformation (DT) is the process of using digital technologies to create new, or modify existing, business processes, culture, and customer experiences to meet changing business and market requirements. This reimagining of business in the digital age is digital transformation.

Sounds simple enough, and ever since mainstream adoption of computing and software DT has been progressing, but the phrase itself really started to enter the common lexicon in the 2000’s. We’ve all attended conferences that had DT keynotes, and pretty much all software enables DT.

Unfortunately, today, when someone mentions digital transformation, it is likely to bring a groan or even an eye-roll, and we are more likely to experience the Delirium Tremens!
