New Product and Enhancements
Harris Corporation, an international communications and information technology company, will showcase a number of products and capabilities during the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) in Las Vegas, Nevada, March 24-28, 2014. Harris Corp. industry experts will also be onsite to address a number of topics in presentations throughout the week, including preparations for the FirstNet migration to LTE and P25 Foundation and System Interface updates for 2014.
Products and Services, Demonstrations
Harris Momentum Family of DMR Solutions
- HDP150 portable radio: Designed for public safety and industrial users who require Intrinsically-Safe or Non-incendive approved land mobile radios, the HDP150 meets UL913 (5th Edition) requirements for Battery-Powered, Portable Land Mobile Radio Applications in Class I, II, and III, Division 1, Hazardous (Classified) Locations or Non-incendive Class I, Division 2 Locations.
- T2 Dispatch Console: Operating as part of the T2 Dispatch solution, this console supports single and multi-site Voice Dispatching and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) services. The T2 Dispatch console works with off-the-shelf computer equipment and provides tools for managing channels, time-slots, and groups of users on a Momentum Tier II system.
Harris XG Family of P25 Solutions
- XG-25M UHF-L: The versatile XG-25M mobile radio now supports the UHF-L frequency bands and covers the 378 MHz to 470 MHz. To further enhance the versatility of this rugged radio, the XG-25M mobile is available with a remote mount configuration that allows detachment of the control head. Its flexible profile means that the XG-25M mobile radio unit can be installed anywhere in a vehicle, including the trunk or even under a seat.
- XG-75P user customization: First responders are now able to customize their XG-75P portable radios to meet their unique agency needs and better address daily operations. Options include a range of color casings, such as yellow, grey, green and black and fitted control knobs of varying sizes to keep it sleek or improve usability when wearing gloves. Highly reflective stickers are also available for buttons as well as front and back decals to ensure ease of operation in low-light scenarios.
- Fire Speaker Microphone: Designed to meet the unique and demanding needs of firefighters, the new speaker microphone is built with direct input from firefighters, and features a number of practical attributes, including Two-Microphone Noise Cancellation, Dual Push-to-Talk (PTT), Man Down Notification and Directional Speaker for targeted audio.
